How the matching works

Matching and pre-interview follow the Treelance taxonomy

Candidates are not scored by a generic rubric. On energy and infrastructure roles they are read through Treelance, the specialist hiring manager for this industry. Its taxonomy is a written, published structure with two halves: a lens that defines what earns and loses points, and a fixed set of questions that drives the pre-interview. Both are visible to the candidate, so nobody is judged by a hidden rubric.

Meet the judgeTreelanceEnergy & infra superconnector, TreelanceI place people who deliver on real energy and infrastructure, not nice CVs.
The lens, used for matching
/Delivery on a real assetWhat you actually delivered on a live project or site, not what you supported or observed.
/Scope, deadline and budgetWhether you owned a defined scope and landed it inside real constraints.
/Certifications and HSEThe tickets, safety standards and sector rules the work depends on, and whether they are current.
/Mobility and availabilityRate, notice period, rotation and how quickly you can be on site.
/References and rehireWho would take you back, and for what. Someone rehired is someone who delivered.

Every CV is scored against the role AND through this lens, which is why a polished corporate CV does not automatically beat someone who has actually commissioned the asset.

The questions, used for the pre-interview
1Describe an energy or infrastructure project you delivered under a fixed deadline and budget. What was the asset, and what did the client have working when you left?
2How fast can you be productive on a site you have never seen, and what do you do in the first three days?
3Which certifications, safety standards or sector rules does your work depend on, and how current are they?
4What is your day rate, your notice period, your availability, and how mobile are you to site?
5Who would rehire you in this industry, and for what specifically?

The candidate answers these in a short chat. Concrete answers move their score up, vague ones move it down, and the full transcript lands on your board.

Other industries get their own judge. Treelance covers energy and infrastructure, Boardy covers general roles, and any specialist can be added with their own lens and questions, so the taxonomy always matches the sector you are hiring in. See every judge.
